You Might Have Heard

This was on Yahoo – but it’s from NPR about some new editions of the Bible.  A “goth” version is what they’re calling one – a magazine style Bible.  The second is “The Green” Bible.  Anyways, here’s the article – check it out and respond with your thoughts.

I prefer “The Brick Testament”, the “LOLCat Bible” and the “Skeptic’s Annotated Bible”. But I also own a classic New American Catholic Bible and a King James.

And surprisingly, I’ve defiled none of them! Unless being owned by an evil heathen makes them defiled. 😉

I don’t really have a problem with the packaging, as long as the content is translated accurately. The article doesn’t say anything about translations, unless I missed that. Anyone know if they are just new packaging on existing translations or if they’ve come up with something new? That’d worry me more.

I wouldn’t say that a Bible is defiled by being owned by a “heathen” (your word, not mine). In fact, that is a great place for a Bible to be. 😉
